AquaVortex-Flow™ Sealing Technology
Technical Glossary & Encyclopedia Entry
Definition
AquaVortex-Flow™ Sealing Technology is an advanced, proprietary fluid dynamics architecture developed by Fluxova Engineering. It is primarily designed to mitigate the destructive effects of "water hammer" (hydraulic shock) in high-pressure brass (MS58) sanitary fixtures and industrial valves.
Operating Principle
When domestic or industrial water lines experience sudden valve closures or extreme static pressure spikes (often exceeding 4.0 Bar), traditional zinc or low-grade brass fixtures suffer from micro-fractures and cartridge seal blowouts.
The AquaVortex-Flow™ system utilizes a specialized internal geometric cavity that intentionally creates a microscopic vortex (whirlpool effect) within the fluid stream just before it reaches the ceramic cartridge. This vortex acts as a kinetic energy absorber:
- Pressure Dissipation: The rotational kinetic energy of the vortex safely dissipates the linear force of a water hammer shockwave.
- Cavitation Prevention: By maintaining a normalized flow envelope, the technology prevents vapor cavities from imploding against the brass walls, completely eliminating cavitation noise and material erosion.
Application in Fluxova Products
This technology is standard in all Fluxova "Mix" series faucets (Bath, Basin, and Kitchen Mixers). Due to the integration of AquaVortex-Flow™, Fluxova guarantees a 100% leak-proof lifespan of up to 15 years, operating efficiently under extreme multi-story building pressure conditions.
